Credit balance reminder

Hi team,

It seems I've never received any email/notication about my credit balance going to zero.

Literally by luck, I was wondering how much credit was left in my account, turns out, ZERO and I was on the last day paid (screaming internally)!! I've been searching in my inbox, nothing came from you folks, no reminder?

I've just received the payment notification so I believe my inbox filter are right?

Anyway, please do check your reminder rules for the remaining credit on our account,

Thanks

I just noticed I have lost about 7 days worth of emails because of the credit balance dropping to zero and my account being downgraded to some bottom tier with just 100 MB email box quota which then was instantly full. No reminder beforehand and also no notification when this happened. It wasn't even highlighted in any meaningful way in the web UI. Seriously, send an email, SMS or whatever to let the user know!

It absolutely boggles my mind that the system works like this and just starts silently rejecting emails without any warning. To this date I have been a satisfied user and happy to recommend mailbox.org but now I'm seriously considering moving elsewhere.

I just can't wrap my head around the stupidity of this...

Thank you very much for your comments and for bringing this to our attention. We send out reminders 90 days and 30 days before an account runs out of funds. We know that it is important to receive a reminder for something so important.

We are really sorry for the trouble you had, and we are looking into this matter, to see if there has been an error in our system. We have reached out to you via our ticket system and you should have received an e-mail from our support-team. We will try to work this out as fast as possible.

All the best, your

Probably related problem: I've just received a bunch of "credit is largely used up" emails, the first as old as June 1st. The attached screenshot shows how those emails popped up after a recent email I got on the 9th of July. It looks like the notification emails were stuck in a mail queue until a config change (maybe related to the complaints above) made them deliverable.

I was more lucky than user 4978823 above as I still had a month left and it's not my primary email.

Maybe add a reminder before 24 hours left.
