Proposed

Hi !

The "Dark" theme is no dark ;)

It might be renamed as "blue/grey" theme and a real dark theme may be proposed ?

it may be nice to have an amoled optimised black theme.

Best regards,

Take a look at my reply to post #3 below -- poster 8456997 has provided a perfect Dark theme for Mailbox.org!! (no need for Mailbox.org to do a thing to improve on this). Screen-shots are attached in my reply.

Hey, I've tried to make a usable dark theme via stylus : https://userstyles.org/styles/169315/mailbox-org-webmail-dark-theme

There are a few screenshots on the theme page.

Feel free to use it and change it to your liking !

Wow! -- This is perfect! And it works in my Pale Moon browser.

Thanks so much -- Mailbox.org does not need to add a Dark theme -- this is it! All they have to do is use this CSS code and it's done.

Couldn't be any better that this!!

For anyone who wants a Dark theme in Mailbox -- it's right here!!

I've attached 3 screen-shots for those who would like to see it. :)

I'm using the Dark Reader browser extension which does not require unique CSS themes per page and works quite good for most of the webpages out there. However, the mailbox.org webmail and user forum pages are not one of those unfortunately. So native dark themes would be very much appreciated.

Just wanted to post that 8456997 poster above has got it down as far as a Dark theme is concerned for Mailbox.org.

Refer to my reply to the post above -- I've attached 3 screen-shots in my reply above for those interested.

It worked perfectly without any changes needed in my Pale Moon browser (so it should work for you as well). All you need to do is add the "Stylish" extension (and then copy/paste code as new Style and it's done) to your browser.

It's hands down a really great Dark Theme for Mailbox.org!

Thank you 8456997 -- you've made my day!!

You might want to consider using the Stylus instead of the Stylish extension: https://robertheaton.com/2018/07/02/stylish-browser-extension-steals-your-internet-history.

Excellent point (for anyone installing Stylish 3.0+).

I'm using Stylish 2.1.1 (the last safe version). I'm an amateur at CSS and have spent months through trial and error compiling my numerous (7) User Styles which is why I'm so thankful for the Dark Theme CSS posted here in this topic. (I'm sure Stylus will work fine and I'll eventually get around to migrating over but never wanted to take the time and in fact in my case if/when I switch over I'd probably try out Stylem, see below).

Actually there is the extension Stylem (not Stylus) that has been specifically designed for Pale Moon which is a fork off of the safe Stylish 2.0.7 release (that I'll probably switch to some day).

As far as Stylish goes the only versions that have the evil telemetry data are the 3.0+ WebExtension versions (which of course should all be avoided). The Stylish version 2.1.1 was a minimal update to 2.0.7 for purposes of making it into a hybrid WebExtension to allow for data to be transferred across to the WebExtension version.

So until I get around to making a switch -- I'm okay with my Stylish version 2.1.1.

But thanks for the heads-up, especially for others that would want to know about the issue concerning the more current versions of Stylish starting with 3.0+.
