Import contacts: Wrong birthdays

Hi,

I just imported my contacts from a .csv file and realised that the birthdays are incorrect, i.e. day and month are switched.

The .csv file was generated via the web interface of a Microsoft Exchange server.

Is there an option to specify in which format the date is? Any other suggestion on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Armin

I fixed this issue now by translating the dates in the csv file into a format mailbox.org understands. I.e. the original csv file from Microsoft Exchange had the date as 31/12/2016, but mailbox.org apparently requires the date to be 2016-12-31.

A simple 'sed' did the trick:

  1. sed -r 's@"([0-9]+)/([0-9]+)/([0-9]+)"@"\3-\2-\1"@g' -i contacts.csv

It would however be still nice to specify such stuff on import instead of messing around with the csv file.

Sorry for the above nonsense comment, I cannot leave comments properly using either Chrome or Brave. So am doing this in Edge.

Yes, additionally it would be nice to choose between DD-MM-YYYY and MM-DD-YYYY for all relevant date fields in Mailbox.
