OTP stopped working

Hi,


All of a sudden I can no longer login to webmail using Code+OTP. It worked just fine in the last couple of days and it stopped today. Can I somehow reset using OTP and just login using my password?

We have just verified OTP functionality thoroughly. Several tests with Yubikey and OTP token (e.g. FreeOTP+) showed that a login worked fine.

Between 10.00h and 11.30h CEST, however, we found errors regarding logins in the LinOTP log.

At this point we assume that a limited number of users has not been able to log on with OTP during that time.

Currently it's still possible that OTP logins fail, as erroneous former login credentials might have been cached.


Please bear with us until the cache has been cleared. We're happy to look at individual cases, should you still not be able to login with OTP after some time.

We have adapted some settings and are confident that everything is working smoothly again with OTP.

I understand this was solved three weeks ago, but I am having the same problem now. Services that accept my password (such as this forum) work correctly, but OTP (both HOTP and TOTP) no longer works.

Hello,

There was definitely some kind of hours-long OTP authentication service disruption, but OTP works again and I am now able to login.
