Plain text emails do not wrap at 78 characters
Published
Section 2.1.1 of RFC 2822 recommends a maximum of 78 characters per line.
This is to acommodate a variety of email clients which might not hard wrap lines. See useplaintext.email for more details.
This is the behaviour available in many email clients when composing in plaintext e.g. Gmail which is missing in Mailbox.org.
Would it be possible to add an option to enable this wrapping next to the option to compose only plaintext email?

Yes, please implement both bottom posting and text wrapping.

Agreed with all of these: plain text with 78 character text wrapping, bottom posting, and format=flowed are basic features that should be implemented and would be greatly appreciated.

There is demand for plain text in email, 2 features are not available yet with mailbox.org:
- support for bottom posting
- wrap text or format=flowed
Please also see here: https://useplaintext.email
