Send email from any wildcard address

Need Answer

Hello,

I have set up a wildcard and it's working perfectly for recieving emails, <anything>@mydomain.tld works great.

I would also like to send emails from this domain, however I'm wondering if there's any way to set it up so I don't have to make a whole new alias for each (~8) email addresses I'd like to send from, or do I have to bump up to MAILXL package still for custom domains?

Thank you,

J

Ah, you're talking about from the web interface. After a quick glance I don't see any options there. You would have to make individual aliases for sending.

If you're using an smtp client, for example Thunderbird, then you can send as any alias you want without needing individual aliases setup at mailbox.org. Sorry if that doesn't help you with your use case.

Under "E-Mail Aliases" add "@domain.com". This has been working great for me and is one of the reasons I moved over from Protonmail.

I registered to mailbox with an account name "me" (me@mailbox.org) and added me@mydomain.com as an alias.

I added @mydomain.com as another alias and it works fine to receive emails.

But I'd like to send email with anything@mydomain.com, how can I do that ?

From the sending window, there's a way to edit names but I can't edit name for something wich isn't in the list...

I didn't configure Thunderbird yet but I'll see.

I added 2 main aliases wich will cover 98% of emails sent ^^
