There are two rules adding imap tags to emails coming from some websites :

  1. # Generated by OX Sieve Bundle on Sun Feb 11 15:04:17 CET 2018

    require [ "regex" , "fileinto" , "vnd.dovecot.pgp-encrypt" , "imap4flags" ];

    ## Flag: syscategory|UniqueId:0|Rulename: $social

    if allof ( not hasflag :is "$social" , header :contains "from" [ "facebook.com" , "twitter.com" , "youtube.com" , "plus.google.com" , "vimeo.com" , "tumblr.com" , "pinterest.com" , "instagram.com" , "flickr.com" , "xing.com" , "linkedin.com" ] )

    {

    addflag "$social" ;

    }

    ## Flag: syscategory|UniqueId:1|Rulename: $purchases

    if allof ( not hasflag :is "$purchases" , header :contains "from" [ "amazon.de" , "paypal.de" , "ebay.de" , "ebay-kleinanzeigen.de" , "zalando.de" , "immobilienscout24.de" , "autoscout24.de" , "notebooksbilliger.de" , "otto.de" , "tchibo.de" , "lidl.de" , "aldi.de" , "aliexpress.com" , "bonprix.de" , "conrad.de" , "reichelt.de" , "orders.apple.com" , "euro.apple.com" , "cyberport.de" , "alternate.de" , "audible.de" , "steampowered.com" , "mytoys.de" , "ikea.com" , "hm.com" , "mediamarkt.de" , "saturn.de" ] )

    {

    addflag "$purchases" ;

    }

It looks like they are example rules (I didn't create them), but they are not visible in the web interface. This is confusing as emails are being tagged without a visible reason. The tags are not displayed in all email clients, I'm using Claws Mail. If it matters, I have the web interface set to French, I think I took the "Tour" but I don't remember if I completed all the help bubbles.

This is for the "tabbed inbox" -- maybe you've activated this feature, maybe not. It you're using the tabbed inbox you can drag and drop mails and train the filter. OX will ask you and you can add some sender domains to specific categories.

There's no need to show this in the Sieve filter engine and people would be confused if the see the rules. Believe me, for 99% of the user it's better not to show this.

Ok. I see the feature, I may have tried it, but I rarely use the webmail.

And, I believe you, now that I know where to configure those tags :)

Thanks !

How are you getting to that OX Sieve Bundle screen? Being able to edit Sieve rules directly would be a MAJOR benefit for me!

(Or I may be asking the wrong thing; how can you create/edit/view the raw sieve files?)
