Faulty calendar notifications on iOs

Calendar is the only feature I want to use in mailbox.org.

I've set up CalDav syncing with iPhone and it does sync but there's one problem with notifications.

If I create a calendar event in mailbox.org with ONLY a notification as a reminder, the notification correctly shows up on the iPhone (iOs 16.5).

However, if I create a calendar event in mailbox.org with BOTH a notification and an email reminder, the notification won't work on the iPhone. The event is showing on the iPhone but I get no notification.

The latter is obviously the setup I need so I have to drop mailbox.org if I can't fix this.
