Dear Mailbox.org, this post is for you.

I'd like to know if this bill is a concern in any way to Mailbox.org customers privacy (whether based in Germany or abroad), and if so, how. Also, what is the likelihood of it passing, when would that happen, and how can it be opposed? Perhaps a blog post would be appropriate if the bill poses any legitimate threat to the current protections promised to customers. Let's not forget what's happening in Switzerland and growing surveillance power grabs around the world, such as in the UK.

Key quote: "Technically, citizens have a chance to respond. In practice, the “consultation period” is two weeks in the middle of the summer holidays. By the time most people hear about it, the ink will already be drying."
