Layout Resizing and PDF Viewing Issues
Hello,
I’m a paid subscriber and recently transitioned from Zoho to mailbox. I like most—if not all—of the mail features, except for two things (for now).
1. Layout resizing
I use the web interface to access my email from different desktop computers, but they don’t share the same screen resolution. When I resize the three-pane layout on one computer (e.g., 15% / 30% / 55%), it looks well-balanced, but on another computer the layout does not scale proportionally and ends up with uneven pane widths (e.g., 30% / 35% / 35%).
I assume this means the layout sizing is saved server-side. Is it possible to save the layout entirely on the client side (per browser or session), so I can have different layouts for different computers?
2. Viewing password-protected PDFs
This was a feature in Zoho that I didn’t even realize I relied on until I migrated to mailbox. Many PDFs from banks are password-protected and are typically meant for temporary viewing (for example, checking the outstanding balance on a credit card). Because of this, it hardly justifies downloading them to my computer just to open them with a local PDF reader.
It would be extremely convenient if mailbox could open password-protected PDFs directly in the web interface, prompt for the password, and display them in the browser—similar to how Zoho handles this.
Are either of these features on the pipeline or improvement roadmap?
Thanks for your attention.
