Password reset without phone confirmation query

In the Privacy & Security settings, the Password Reset section, as appears, and as advised in the help, seems like it requires a phone. In the "Password reset via SMS and alternative email", it says "and", but I have attempted to use it without touching the phone number bit, and merely added the alternative email address, and it seemed to accept this. Can you confirm this is sufficient and shall work fine?
If a phone is required, I have to stop using mailbox, and require a refund, because it does not offer sufficient accessibility. (Not everybody can use a phone.).

Hi,
thank you for your post. You don't need a phone number for setting up a password reset option. I just checked your account and I can confirm that you have entered a secondary mail-address that you can use for a password-reset in case you should have no more access to it.
