DAVx5 : sync only works one way, contacts not updated on mailbox server

Hello all !


I’ve recently bought DAVx5 for my smartphone and tablet in order to synchronize my contacts and events more easily on both devices.

Installation and setup was easy with just my email and password.


I tried to synchronize from DAVx5 on my phone, but on the website interface of mailbox I see that no contacts have been added. It works the other way however: if I create a new contact on the web interface and then sync, the new contact is added to my phone.


I’ve tried tweaking a lot with the parameters on mailbox.org and with the settings on my phone/tablet, but with no better results.


Any idea ?


My phone is a Galaxy S9 Edge and my tab is a Galaxy Tab S4.

SOLVED !


I found the solution here:

In short: After installing and setting up DAVx5, open your address book (client) and move your old contacts from the LOCAL account (phone, tab, sdcard or sim) to the newly available DAVx5 account.

Thank you, I was having the same issue and this solved it for me as well.

I was thinking "sure I can import the contacts directly but will I have to do this every time I add a new contact?"

But with what I learned in that video it's now defaulting to adding contacts only to mailbox.org. I removed them from gmail as well.
