I'd really like to send late-night emails at 9 AM next day instead. Looks much more professional, and I don't want to broadcast that I work such late hours to everyone in my org.

Same, however open exchange 8 does have this and the mailbox team i know are working on version 8. don't when it will be out.

Open X-Change offers this feature since version 8.20: https://documentation.open-xchange.com/8/middleware/mail/scheduled_mail.html. But mailbox.org hasn't yet enabled it in the Beta.

AFAIR,in the german forum mailbox (their CEO?) expressed privacy concerns because this feature allegedly requires full access to your inbox. I don't know why it isn't possible to share only a dedicated folder or to solve this in a different way.

Another temporary workaround might be using Thunderbird + an extension (Send later).

I have just installed the Send Later extension with Betterbird for my own purposes. However, the email client must still be running for the email to send.

I look forward to Mailbox implementing Open-Xchange 8's "Send Later" functionality!

I'm hoping there's an update for this feature.

I can send scheduled mail on my Android phone using the "FairEmail" app, but since I compost email in my browser 99% of the time, I'd prefer to have this feature built-in.

Every other email service that I've used, from Gmail to Zoho Email has scheduled sending as a standard features. It's critical for both professionals and personal users who want to better manage their time.

Proton Mail (as of early 2023) and Tuta/Tutanota (as of early 2026) also support it.
