Not receiving email from specific gmail or yahoomail addresses

Everyday I receive multiple spam emails from various unwanted gmail addresses. However, I have a few friends and business contacts that have gmail and yahoo accounts, whose mail simply never makes it to my mailbox.org inbox. Nor does it end up as spam. And the senders get no notification that it wasn't delivered. I have had them try repeatedly to send me emails to my main address and all aliases on different occasions, and have tried all of the different spam protection options in mailbox.org and nothing makes a difference. I simply do not receive their mails, yet I can receive them fine with my gmail address, and they do not have this issue sending to anyone else. What can I do to remedy this?
