Calendar appointment's attendee status only updated when webmail is logged in and refreshed

I use IMAP/STMP/iCal/caldav instead of the webmail interface with Mailbox.

I can create events/appointments just fine, and invites are sent to attendees.

However, when I get an RSVP from an attendee, the calendar entry is not updated with their response. Only when I manually log into the webmail client on mailbox.org, is the calendar finally updated, and that happens immediately on login, no other action needed.

It seems that the act of logging in triggers some processing of the inbox, which picks up the attendee's response, and updates the calendar.

I would ask that in addition to this, that the same processing of the inbox is triggered to happen periodically, maybe every hour, for those users who don't regularly use the webmail.

Thank you.

Even if I log on mailbox.org or solely use mailbox.org webmail in the browser, the appointment never updates automatically despite the message: "The appointment was updated after the response from this participant was sent.

Only the manual update works - which makes it very unfriendly to use due to many appointments.

I think, the attendee email address was not properly saved as a contact but only stored under "Collected addresses", which I thought it is part of my contacts but it wasn't. Here is what I did:

1. Create a new contact with the attendee email address

2. Set the calendar setting "Automatically apply appointment changes received via email to your calendar" to "Always"

3. Make a test event in mailbox.org and invited me with another non-mailbox.org email address as an attendee (which is in contacts)

4. Accept the invite from the attendee email account

5. Mailbox.org received the RSVP Accept email and automatically updated the event - awesome.

Confirm if you had the same conclusion.
