My 2FA situation with Mailbox.org

To explain the situation here is the email i sent to the *noreply Mailbox.org customer supporrt :
Am already a *Mailbox user. Want to test 2FA/Ubikey authentification with Mailbox.org but am cautious about not locking myself out. It has been many months that the free accounts are not available & today i noticed the "Sign up' option is under maintenance.
Dear Mailbox.org can you please help me with a solution i can use to test loging in with 2FA.
Any Mailbox users i would greatly appreciate your help.

Real-time notifications may not work
if you feel more confident you can setup 2FA with Android oath, like free otp or i personally use aegis and then setup yubikey.You can have 2FA with oath AND yubikey.
Also in your personal data you can set Alternate e-mail address for reset password.

As TeCer mentioned, always use multiple 2FA methods to prevent locking yourself out.
That said, if you have access to your inbox, you can always request a reset e-mail that will disable 2FA.
