Spam handling

I think, that (possible) spam is not handled properly in my situation.
Since I have been using mailbox.org, I have never received spam. That seems unlikely.
My settings:
Current spam filter : lenient
Spam e-mails : Flag & redirect to INBOX.
I chose these settings this way, to check if the spam filter is working correctly.

How can I check if the spam filter including "Flag & redirect to INBOX" is working correctly? I suspect something is going wrong here. As said, I have never received spam, so I think something is wrong. How to check?

You have never received SPAM, not because your settings are wrong, but because SPAM is blocked on the infrastructure-entrance level.

Want SPAM? Go to Gmail; there is plenty of it there.
