How do I connect to my mailbox on older Windows machines?

Need Answer

I run a Windows XP machine and I want to use Outlook Express to connect to my Mailbox.org account, sadly, neither IMAP or SMTP are working. If this is due to a TLS or SSL requirement for connecting to my mailbox account, is there a way for me to disable it?

Yes, I do know that using E-Mail without TLS or SSL is "less secure", but I'm not planning on using that computer on any network other than my own.

Have you tried using another service like Mozilla Thunderbird? I believe it still supports Windows XP. Might be worth a shot

7 is the minimum for Thunderbird.

Found this after some digging. V52 is the last version to support XP.

I don't know anything about IMAP or SMTP at this time so I don't have any other suggestions.
