Do periods affect an email?

If I have mail.box@mailbox.org, is it the same and mailbox.org? Thanks in advance! I know on Gmail its the same, so I'm just wondering if it is here too.

Then yes, those would be different inboxes entirely.

Obviously do what you want, but the way I have mine set up is like this:

Main email (myemail@mailbox.org)

Then broken into categories:

Banking: banks.myemail@mailbox.org

Social media: social.myemail@mailbox.org

That way when I start getting ads or spam, I have a better chance of finding out where it’s coming from.

What are you trying to accomplish by using a period?

Are you referring to aliases? If so, then yes you can use any sort of "mail.box@mailbox.com". That's exactly how I have my aliases set up and they work flawlessly.

You can also use a period anywhere in your main email if that's what you're referring to.

basically yea. I worded it weird initially, but I'm asking if I have two emails, mailbox@mailbox.org and mail.box@mailbox.org, do they send to the same or different addresses?
