Thunderbird uses account alias as event organizer

I noticed when creating a new even in Thunderbird the default organizer is set to my email alias. My main email is max@maxammmann.org however.

After creating the event it shows the correct organizer but the invites show my email alias:

My email alias should show up nowhere, as I did not configure anything related to it. Because of that I suspect the mailbox servers include my alias in some WebCal responses, which should not be the case.

Known bug... but nobody cares to fix/resolve it.

This is obviously a Thunderbird bug! :Same issue with Fastmail. :-( There are sevaral bug reports in Mozilla's Bugzilla:

Oh oke! I thought it might be a mailbox.org issue because I don't see a reason why mailbox.org would include my email alias in any webcal request. A workaround might be not to send the email aliases to Thunderbird.
