Email alias extension?

Not shown shared this idea 3 months ago
Proposed

I use email aliases extensively.

I have a few that are definitive, but I create a lot of random ones to subscribe to bullcrap websites.

Is there any thought to making either a browser extension, or simple CLI to generate email aliases that we could script around?

It’s rather anoying to have to login mailbox.org everytime I want to create a new alias…

I’d be happy to help build it by the way, if someone can point me in the right direction (code repo, which one to use, etc…)

Hey, try out the DuckDuckGo aliases. I use Mailbox for permanent aliases and DDG combined with Bitwarden (it has integrated support for DDG aliases when creating accounts, super fast but can also be used from DDG’s extension separately) for junk stuff, and as a plus it also auto-removes trackers and can be deactivated in one click.

I’m not a shill I promise I just am very happy I found this haha. It’s free
