Is email encrypted at rest or only when using guard and PGP?
Answered
I assumed that all email is encrypted at rest, but can’t seem to find information about that. Is it? Or is it not encrypted unless you choose PGP?
Can anyone clarify?
Thanks

Hi,
thank you very much for your message. Your e-mails are only encrypted on our servers at rest, if you encrypt them via the encrypted mailbox or if the e-mails are from encrypted by the sender. We are certain that your e-mails are safe on our servers. We have a lot of security features that guard your mails from hacks. Of course it is always the safest option to encrypt all incoming e-mail. This is the reason why we have the encrypted mailbox. You can find more information about it here:
