I need to forward certain recipients on my custom domain to an external address. Is this possible?
I have a mailbox.org account with a custom domain, lets say, a1@customdomain.com. This works fine.
Now I want to forward emails sent to aliases like b2@customdomain.com forwarded to b2@gmail.com. It's not really related to my mailbox.org mailbox for a1@ except that it is using the same custom domain. I don't want to access or see the e-mails sent to these aliases, just forward them immediately.
Is this possible, or do I need to create my own account mailbox.org account for b2@, and add a "forward all" rule for it? This would be quite a hassle because I have about 10 of these forwards/aliases.
Background: My custom domain is my last name and I use it as my primary e-mail account mailbox.org. My family also wants nice e-mail-addresses with their last name in it to receive emails, but want to continue using their existing Gmail-Account.
Hello.
Please take a close look at the filter rules. You can also filter the conditions by the recipient address (in your case b2@customdomain.com). Then select “redirect to” as the action and enter the address to which the email should be redirected. (in your case b2@gmail.com)

Thank you very much!
But, if I understand correctly, that still means I need to assign these addresses/aliases to my own mailbox? I assume that this also means that my mailbox will then see all e-mails send to these aliases (even tho the e-mails have been forwarded) and I can send in the name of these aliases? Are my assumptions correct?
This is not ideal, as these are not "my" e-mails but those of family members. Please note that I'm happy to pay for these "independent" forwards (the construct is not to safe on license costs) but I'm just looking for an easy way to manage these without having to create mailbox.org for all of them. O365 supports these concept ("forwards without mailboxes") and I'm looking for a way to setup something similar. Thanks again.
