Web UI settings keep switching to German

As per the title, the settings page (specifically the mailbox.org tab) keeps switching to German. Sometimes it returns to English but 90% of the time it's in German, making it impossible for me to navigate it.

Also, is it really normal for the Web UI to be this slow? The mailbox.org tab takes 1.5-2s to switch between tabs, and the console throws a lot of errors as well.

Have you tried changing the language in the Basic settings? Even in German, you should be able to visually navigate and change it based on the screenshot provided.

If you've already tried that, does your browser have a translation extension that was accidentally set/saved to German?

Thanks for asking, yes I have set it to English and double checked multiple times. My browser doesn't have any such extension and I've tried it in 3 different browsers (2 of which being basically stock, haven't changed any browser settings from default)

Weird. I'm not an expert, so the following are just guesses:

1. When you signed up, did you select Germany as your country of origin? (I think that's the default, and if so, I'm not sure how to help you if that is somehow locking you into that language).

2. If you're using a VPN, have you tried connecting in an English speaking country to see if that fixes it?

3. Have you allowed your browser to save all mailbox.org cookies and given the site full permissions?

4. When you changed the language to English in basic settings, did you click "reload page" at the top to save those settings?

In regards to the UI being slow...yes. This is a known issue. It's not just the UI. Tiny documents sometimes take what feels like an eternity to load (but really, more like time traveling back to 2010). I'm not sure if it's a server issue, something an Open-Xchange update could fix, or what - not my domain. I'm hoping the team can improve the user experience on multiple fronts.

1. I am 95% sure that I selected Croatia as my country of origin so no. It also says that's my country in the mailbox.org > Personal Data tab.

2. I'm not using a VPN

3. I haven't touched cookie policy nor was prompted for any special permission or blocking for them so I'm pretty sure it has full permissions. I tried it with stock Chrome so I'm pretty sure it should work there if that was the problem.

4. I have, I also tried reloading and clearing the cache/cookies multiple times.

Okay, last option I can think of (fingers crossed). Log out. Then start here: https://mailbox.org/en/

I'm thinking if you log in from the English language site, it should carry over everywhere on Mailbox.org. If not, best of luck getting this resolved.

I tried it but unfortunately it didn't work either. Another weird thing I notice is that on the portal page the blog posts are also in German as well as the OpenTalk page.

I'm not sure if that is expected behaviour or if that's another manifestation of that same problem.

Edit: everything else is in English from what I've seen, these are the only 3 places I've seen using German.

I guess this another bug of the new Login 2.0. I reported this on the german forum a few days ago . There is also a report on Reddit. Have you checked the language settings in Opentalk? Here only Settings -> mailbox.org is affected.
