surfshark vpn to be specific, did you blanket blacklist multiple IPs or is this a problem on their end?

Surfshark recommends Mailbox.org as a secure email provider, but it seems that Mailbox.org is now blocking access to SMTP.

Is there a way to escalate this to get an answer? This issue has been open for a week without comment.

Hey, I am also experiencing very often issues with Thunderbird sending mails while connected with Surfshark.

This is annoying to the point that I am considering moving away from mailbox.org

Are you sure that Surfshark is not blocking? Does it work with a different mail provider?
Can't you exclude mailbox.org or Thunderbird from the VPN connection or do you live in a country where mailbox.org is blocked? mailbox will probably not provide details about their security measures. I use Mullvad and I can access their IMAP4 (993) and submission (465,587) service.

I will investigate better what could it be.

Any idea how can I do it?

Just now I managed to send a mail in Thunderbird with another mail provider and sending via mailbox.org is timing out.

However I noticed that it also happens with the other mail provider. I had to reconnect to different protocols in Surfshark and Wireguard seems to be the one to work.

However while writing this comment I managed to send the mail via mailbox, so it is a bit random why the connection get rejected or not.

I don't know who is blocking. If it's mailbox or Surfshark here.

I also have issues in my Android phone sending mails with K-Mail with Surfshark on.

Humm.
Disabling CleanWeb and selecting default protocol to Wireguard seems to have done the job.
Managed to send a few mails already with VPN on.
Also worked on my phone.

Maybe that is it!
