Access to shared folders and Public Files in OX Drive iOS & iPadOS app

The OX Drive app for iPad and iOS integrates the Drive module as a provider in the default 'Files' app. This is a very nice implementation because it leverages the existing functions of the Files app, which makes working with folders and files in Drive pretty easy. However, there is one serious drawback that I can't seem to solve.

The issue is that only your own Drive contents are shown. It does not show any shared folders (folders shared by others with you) nor does it show 'Public Files'. I have tested this on multiple devices and it seems like a hard functional limitation.

Have others experienced this limitation as well? And if so, did you find a workaround to access shared folders and public files with the Files app?
