Firefox Desktop Progressive Web Application Tip
This may only be relevant for a few of you out there, but I thought I'd mention it in case it helps someone.
Now that Firefox for Windows supports Progressive Web Apps, you can add your favorite mailbox application (tasks, calendar, address book, etc) to the taskbar using the icon in the URL bar. Well, kind of. It requires some manual setup. First, you need to log in to mailbox on Firefox. Once the PWA is added and pinned to the taskbar, you need to open the PWA and navigate to the specific app suite tool you want on reference. Then leave the PWA open or minimized all day. Going full screen (F11) creates a dedicated app like experience. Alt+Control (in that order) is a helpful shortcut for quickly navigating back and forth between various windows.
The PWA icon generated after logging in shows the old mailbox logo for some reason. There's a way to fix that, for those interested. Just let me know.
It would be nice if we had the option to create a dedicated PWA for EACH tool in the app suite which always opened to that appropriate page, and one which displayed a corresponding icon for that tool. But I'm not sure if that's technically possible.
