Contact avatars / profiles not shown in email lists?

On other email services, contacts' avatars / profile images are shown next to emails, which is visually appealing and makes it easier to spot emails from different senders. Is there an option for this in mailbox? I don't appear to be getting any, despite there being a big avatar circle next to each email.

I've attached a screenshot from another provider for reference, note the BFI email uses its own avatar.
