SIEVE reject rule is broken after "redesign" rollout

user shared this problem 56 days ago
Published

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a new rule, match a arbitrary subject line
  2. Set action to "Reject with reason"
  3. Observe the modal: "Invalid SIEVE rule specified. Rules with the reject action are not allowed to contain additional action commands."

Same here. Very annoying because all additional spam is coming through now, so I must change all "reject" rules to "discard"?

Hi,

For reject with a reason I use

reject "****SPAM****";

Hi user,

thank you very much for your message. We just tried it, and we were able to create filter rules with "Reject with reason". We would like to assist you and look further into the matter. Could you please open a ticket with our helpdesk and send a screenshot of your sieve rules, so we can check this?

You can reach our helpdesk here https://support.mailbox.org. Alternatively, you can also send an e-mail to helpdesk@mailbox.org. Our supporters will take care of your request.

Thank you very much in advance.

With kind regards

Your mailbox-Team

Hi Mailbox Team,

I have raised this via the support ticket more than a month ago. The response was along the lines of "yes, it's broken and we are working on it". The issue is not fixed despite having clearly reproducible steps.

As I noted in the Helpdesk ticket, the fact that after the "redesign" Sieve is not fully functional and that such a basic functionality receives less attention than a new skin for the webmail shows business priorities much better than any press release and platitudes on the front-page.
