Email notifications not coming through (only Calendar works)

Email notifications are set to "Play sound" and show desktop notifications are turned on however I dont get notified about new emails. If i test with the calendar on the other hand, it seems to work fine.

Is this a bug or just hasnt been implemented yet?

Using Firefox on Linux but I think its the same issue with Vivaldi.

I have the same problem for months. mailbox is broken. Too many issues.

I've also noticed problems with notifications not working correctly. Besides this, I don't like the all or nothing approach. I would like Mailbox (Open-Xchange) to allow customers to choose to turn individual notifications on or off for Mail, Calendar, and Tasks instead of all three being ON or OFF.

Yeah I have this same problem too. I get calendar notifications but no email notifications. It would be great if this could be fixed; email notifications are a pretty basic and core feature of an email platform.

I run Vivaldi(a browser based on the Chrome framework so retains all compatibility although heavily modified) running on Ubuntu 24.04

Have you created a ticket? Do emails also appear in your inbox with a delay? If I wait for a urgent e-mail I have to click "reload" (multiple times). mailbox suite / open-xchange = broken by design. Ticket is open for almost three months, problem exists even longer. They couldn't care less.

No I haven't created a ticket yet; I'll do that.

They don't have a delay. Mailbox only refreshes its inbox every few minutes whereas Betterbird is nearly constantly checking. As I am still migrating I have Betterbird running in the background with my old emails and mailbox signed in and it gives me a notification with a new email, and then I go to mailbox and refresh its inbox and the email comes in.

So it's just something in the new email pipeline that stops the notification, seeing that calendar events work. But I must say that so far the platform has been wonderful apart from this hiccup.

But e-mails in the INBOX appear almost instantly. Same for deleting messages.
Bug or ensh***.

Funny: I get a sound notification if I delete a message in a different client. :-)
