Possibility for calendar to include tasks/reminders

I have been moving over from Disroot, which uses Nextcloud, to mailbox. I am uncertain if I will move over yet for my calendar and reminders, because I like to have them in the same calendar 'stream'(?!). In Nextcloud/Disroot when I create a new calendar, I have the option of using the same calendar in tasks/reminders as well, which makes for better organisation (in my opinion).

I would like this option in mailbox, too (or if this is already possible I'd love to learn how to do this).

This functionality isn't currently supported in the web based mailbox app suite. However, if you want a workaround (working last I checked), you can view (and create?) tasks within the Thunderbird calendar after you have synced mailbox calendars and task lists to Thunderbird. However, editing tasks which appear in the TB calendar doesn't work well from my own experience. And of course, you won't see those tasks in your web browser on your mailbox calendar. Hope that helps.

Thank you for thinking along! It is not really a solution for me at the moment as Thunderbird is not (yet) available on iOS. Is this something that will be supported when OX supports it, or is it mailbox that is responsible for this?

Even when Thunderbird comes to iOS, only the desktop version supports this functionality (and it's janky at best, with problematic syncing issues). OX holds the keys to all software updates and ultimate responsibility for all the bugs and poor design choices mailbox users experience every day. That includes their decision to emulate the Microsoft Office Suite setup over 15 years ago and never truly evolving beyond that limited and now outdated framework. Look at my forum posts to see my lengthy list of suggested improvements to the Tasks application. Solutions to common problems can take months and even YEARS to be addressed as mailbox support hands the problems off to Open-Xchange, and then we just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

It definitely already exists. I have been using it with Nextcloud's caldav (and Apple has something similar although but sure if it's caldav). Hope OX implements this soon or that OpenCloud allows for faster adoption.
