Unable to add members to family account

Hi,
I've been trying to add members to a family account with joint billing enabled. Via Settings > Family Account > Account Management I try to add a new member, but the UI then displays the following error: An error has occurred, please try again later. Which I've been doing for the past couple of days. When I check the underlying network call, I see that the mailbox servers are returning an HTTP-500.
I'm wondering if this just affects my account, or whether this issue has been affecting others as well?
PS I have also created a support ticket, but given the current lead times for support I went ahead an created this topic as well.
