Can not get notifications to work on my phone

Hi,

I'm trying to get this to work on my phone, but can not get notifications to show. I am using a Vivaldi browser and Thunderbird mail client. I'm not getting notifications for emails through Thunderbird or through the browser. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thunderbird on Android worked last time I tried it. Notifications in the browser on the desktop is broken for me too for a long time. My ticket is open for more than two months. They either have no clue how to fix it or they simply don't care.

I'm new to mailbox, trying it out as alternative to Gmail. As you I simply can't get the notifications to work, and have created a ticket (haven't heard anything back). It is weird if it is not prioritized, as it is quite relevant for email and calendar, to get notified on your phone and desktop...

Hi,

thank you for your comment and welcome to mailbox. Could you please tell me the number of your tickets, os I can check this? I wasn't able to find a ticket from your mail-address.When I find the ticket, I can look into the matter further.

With kind regards

Hi Felix.
I never received a ticket ID.
When I created the ticket, i selected "Report a Bug" as the topic.
Could it be, that this does not create a ticket ID?
I used the form on https://support.mailbox.org/#customer_ticket_new, and got a success message when I submitted the case, but it still lists zero tickets when I log in.
Let me know, if I should create a new ticket instead.

Hi af01dk ,

yes, please open another ticket. One caveat: you can only create tickets on a smart phone if you have created a ticket in a browser on a desktop computer before. This is a known bug, for which we don't have a solution as of now.

You can also open a ticket by sending an e-mail to support@mailbox.org. Please let us know which hardware you are using and which software, so we can analyze the issue.

@zapata

I have deleted your comment because it was neither constructive nor respectful. I urge you again to keep the tone civil in this forum.

With kind regards

Edit: I deleted the comment, not the account.

Just fix my account and I will shut up. Or don't recycle aliases and give a refund.

Thanks Felix, that is probably the reason (I created the first ticket on my mobile).
Created a ticket now via my browser: Ticket#8761836.

The funny part: Meanwhile I am getting desktop notifications in the old interface (https://office-sso.mailbox.org)... not one, but two. :-) And a sound is played not only when a new e-mail arrives, but also when I delete an e-mail in my Inbox. :-) Totally annoying. The new interface is still broken. My ticket is unresolved for four months.

But I think calendar notifications do work.
