Virtual phone numbers

Hello,

I had this idea that Mailbox.org could start offering (paid) virtual phone numbers. Many websites today are requiring users to enter their phone number upon registration as part of a verification process. An SMS is then typically sent to this number in order to verify the ownership of a mobile phone. Being privacy-conscious, I do not wish to share any numbers with these websites, and I would love to have an ability to receive SMS to some virtual number. The incoming SMS should then be converted to an email and redirected into my inbox. In my case, I just need something to receive SMS messages, I do not need any sending capability.

But Mailbox.org could also add a sending capability when needed. The virtual phone numbers could be disposable (temporarily assigned to your account e.g. for 5 minutes upon request) or they could be permanent. There could even be incoming voice mail inbox available... up to Mailbox.org to decide.
