mailbox is currently experiencing a technical issue that is causing performance limitations for certain services. As a result, email delivery and access to certain services may be affected at this time.

Our technical teams are working hardk to analyze and resolve the issue in order to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.

Since we depend on reliable email delivery, please clarify as soon as possible if mails potentially received during the current outage are only delayed or lost.

I just had a mail drop in that was sent at 10:13, so it seems only delayed

thank you for your message. The mails are only delayed, they are still being received on our servers, but it takes some time to forward them to the actual inboxes.

unacceptable behavior. literally the one thing you cannot do is drop email deliveries

the least thing you can do is put up a notification on your website and on social media. you cant expect the average user to find this forum.

also will emails during the outage be lost or delivered at a later point in time?

thank you for your message. I understand your frustration. I apologize for this. The e-mails will be delivered, no e-mails are being lost.

It would be nice if you actually communicated to your paying customers when you have a problem. Do you have an ETA on when you expect to have fixed the problem please?

Dear Customers,

Our administrators have successfully resolved the technical issue. Emails that were delayed during the incident are now being delivered gradually.

Based on our current findings, the disruption was caused by an overload of our load balancers. We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of this behavior. We will provide further updates as soon as additional information becomes available.

Just for the record, the problem is not resolved, I still cannot log in.

The banner informing of technical problems shows for maybe half a second before the screen that Spirit Witness shared comes up.

Disappointing as I have only recently switched to mailbox.org.

Yes that's all I get, as Spirit Witness says - the 404 Whoops message. It's been out of action for hours. Any idea when mailbox will be functioning again. Please update us as well as you can.

Hello,

We now have more information about the incident. Due to an unfavorable configuration, the performance of our load balancers was severely impacted by an unusually high number of requests. As a result, email delivery and logins could only be processed in very small numbers and with significant delays. Our administrators identified and resolved the issue shortly thereafter.

However, it took some time for the backlog of tasks to be cleared and for logins and email delivery to resume functioning as usual.

Our administrators have already implemented several changes to our system and are working on additional measures to prevent this from happening again.
