Suggestion: clearly mention the e-mail sending limitation during the free trial
Hello,
I have recently started evaluating Mailbox.org and overall I am very impressed with the service.
However, I spent quite some time trying to understand why I could not send e-mails to external recipients. I initially thought I had a configuration problem.
Only after receiving the SMTP error message did I discover that free trial accounts are not allowed to send e-mails to external addresses.
I completely understand the reason for this restriction (preventing abuse and spam). My suggestion is simply to make this limitation much more visible during the trial.
For example, it could be mentioned:
- on the subscription page,
- in the welcome message,
- or with a banner in the webmail interface.
This would avoid unnecessary troubleshooting and make the evaluation experience smoother for new users.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
Regards, Emmanuel
I like this idea
Hello Emmanuel Jung,
thank you for your posting! We are happy to hear that you are impressed by our service.
Also, thank you for pointing out that the limitations of trial accounts are not visible enough. They are indeed mentioned on the registration page, the welcome email (confirmation of terms of use) and in our Knowledge base.
However, we will internally forward your suggestion of a more visible option within the webmail interface to avoid possible future confusion.
Kind regards
Your mailbox Team
