How do I create a csv file?

Hello,
Is it possible to create .csv documents with the Drive spreadsheets?
The import contacts function requires a csv file. I used the native spreadsheet, but it seems to only save .xlsx files. Or at least, I didn't find a 'save as' function that enabled me to choose the file format.
The same problem 
Access denied
No connection
Real-time notifications may not work
