Domain and alias limits

Thanks for your quick reply but let me clarify my question.

Here's what I want in a Standard Plan:

1. 2-4 domains (seems like this is a yes)
2. Up to 50 aliases (if/as needed) per domain

Does this make sense and is this possible?

1. Yes, you can use 2-4 domains.

2. No, you can use 51 addresses (1 main-address and 50 aliases) in total in our Standard plan. But you can use up to 251 different adresses with custom domains in our Premium plan. It's important that you will always have 1 main address and all the other addresses will be aliases, no matter what the domain is. so you won't get a main-address for each domain.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm wanting to migrate from Tuta, which I am currently using. For the same-priced plan there (3 euro), I am able to have unlimited custom domain addresses (aliases). The limit they have is 3 domains but that is not an issue for me.

The way I see it, an alias is not requiring any more server resources, but is simply a label to be used for the purpose of spam-prevention, etc.

Another provider (Migadu) offers unlimited aliases and has this to say,

"When an email provider rations email addresses of your own domain name-space at a fee, they are asking you to hand them over control of your name-space. There is zero cost associated with additional email addresses..."

Therefore, I'm disappointed that mailbox rations aliases as much as they do, and I will pause to consider whether it's a good choice for my ongoing email requirements.

Note: Other providers such as Startmail, Soverin and Runbox also offer unlimited domain aliases on their basic plans.
