Hello,

For the past week, my account has been hacked, and now :

- When I delete emails, they disappear without my confirming the deletion.

- Some messages are deleted without my confirming them.

- Entire folders disappear without my confirming them.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Sincerely, René

Hallo,

1. Have you reset your main password?
2. Do you use 2FA? Have you checked 2FA devices?
3. Have you checked/deleted all app passwords?
4. Have you checked connected devices in the settings?

There is an option to immediately delete emails without moving them to Trash.

But I think there is no option to disable confirmation when deleting folders.

Maybe you should contact mailbox support.

Hello 3539421,

thanks for your post!

As per default, deleted emails and folders are moved to the "Trash" folder without any additional confirmation required. They can still be restored from there. If you enable the setting zapata has pointed out, you will receive a confirmation message before deletion.

If you fear that your account has been hacked, please make sure to change your password and enable 2-factor-authentication.

For your own security, we also recommend that you change the passwords for any accounts linked to your mailbox.

For further assistance, don't hesitate to contact our Support team via helpdesk@mailbox.org or via our Support portal.

Kind regards

Your mailbox Team
