Not getting any new email notifcations in Firefox?

Using Mailbox in Firefox. I have enabled all notifications, sounds etc. But I don't get any new mail notifications, not even a (1) in the tab, like Gmail (which I dumped for Mailbox). Maybe I missed something? Now I'm missing important emails.

I don't want to install a client like Thunderbird on my desktop.

Known issue. My ticket is open for almost 8 months (the problem exists even longer). mailbox are incapable of solving the problem or they simply don't care. Instead of fixing old bugs/issues they are raising prices. :-)

Notifications seem to work in the old UI (https://office-sso.mailbox.org), but it has other issues.

Because of this and other annoyances, I switched to the smallest tariff and mainly use Fastmail now. My account here is paid until January 1st, 2029. Maybe this and other issues are resolved by then. But I have my doubts. :-)

And I just sent all my clients my new address, and changed everything in my apps. Damn. I guess they assume everyone will use a desktop client or something.

Open a ticket via https://support.mailbox.org or via e-mail (helpdesk@mailbox.org). Maybe they just don't like me and they can fix the issue for you.

Are there any updates on this? Almost all email providers have this feature (if you can call it that). I just need the (1) or even a (new), don't even have to be a number, in the <title>. I'm working in a tab, I switch to my email tab, and see that some new mails are sitting there without me knowing.

If it helps, I use the Sidebery extension on Firefox and get a red dot on the mailbox tab for new emails. The extension has a bunch of customization options I believe.

I don't recall toggling a notification setting, it just happened. You can try resetting mailbox cookies to get the standard Firefox notification authorization popup. Ctrl+H > right click any mailbox entry > forget site. Ctrl+E to get back to normal sidebar.

I see there's a text box in the settings for URL changes, which may or may not cover new messages. Ctrl+F notify on the settings page
