Mailbox not working on Sailfissh OS

Hi all, mailbox is not working on Jolla C2 with sailfish OS 5.1 and the app Mail. Other email accounts work fine, yet when I try to set up mailbox.org it always ends with some authentication problem. I tried to change the password, making it the same of other accounts working in Mail for sailfish. I also changed security options in every way. Still the same error. Mailbox uses a paid account in this instance. The same mailbox.org account works fine on Fairmail app under AppSupport, but I rather prefer non using it. Any idea? Tks a lot

Do you use 2FA an e-mail app passwords (IMAP/SMTP)? Do get an error message? Does the app provide a logfile?
Create an application password for "Exchange Active Sync" and try to use it for IMAP/SMTP. The password is shorter and less complex.

I don.t use 2FA. Error message is authentication problem, no logfile available. I tried exchange active sync and yes the password is shorter, yet still not working.

All mailbox settings are as standard.
