How can I disable automatic yearly folders within my archived folder

Need Answer

Does anyone know, is there a way to disable automatically generated yearly folders within my archived folder and prevent moving my archived messages into those newly generated folders?

Or do I have to manually remove the messages out of it, and remove the newly occurred folder manually each year?

Best!

Just move the messages out to the parent archive folder (this works easily if you are using mailbox.org via any other email client) and then delete the mailbox. Pretty sure those will be regenerated. Or did you get an answer on a ticket by any chance?

I would also like this. I want to be able to click the archive button and for the message to go straight to the archive folder.

Two ways to achieve this: 1). Waiting and hoping Mailbox will do this (they won't); 2). Moving to an alternate email host (once my balance is used up since it's not prorated refundable anymore, this is going to be my fix for this "feature").

Oh, there is third way as well - ignoring it and whenever they create just deleting the year folder (my current work around :D)

Sounds reasonable ;-) How do you search for alternative mail hosts supporting this feature? Any tips?

Almost any other mail host doesn't have this bug, errr.. feature. So if that is the only thing, or absense of it, you are looking for then might just pick any.

But if you mean looking for alternatives in general then I just look for few things:

1. Getting away from firms that just indulge privacy theatre and drama and developing an aura/following of it while pushing stone age tools down their customer's throats

2. Look at support. In some cases, I am not saying it's the case here :D, the support is ZERO and everywhere else it's non-zero, so you see that is also quite simple.

3. Even if you actually want to go for privacy then truer privacy is available at too many alternatives in much more clear and robust way and again with some sort of real and responsible support.

There you go. I am sure you will have your own reasons if you are looking for alternatives to begin with. But if this wroks for you then it works for you and that's perfectly fine. I can live with all this in near future, but eventually I do not want to be here and that's a personal choice (because the reasons I have listed above might be invalid for many and might not even be needed for many).

Cheers.

mailbox.org is a reseller of Open-Xchange and this is how Open-Xchange currently works. Ideally there would be a way to provide feedback upstream to Open-Xchange but I haven't found any.

mailbox.org do have their own downstream changes to Open-Xchange so it's not unreasonable to hope they may add a toggle to archive to the /Archive mailbox.
